Dear Friend,
Christmas is a great reminder of the types of people we work with at AMM. They are the absolute best! They could all go and work in the for-profit sector and make more money, but they don’t. They chose to work for AMM because of our mission and because of their heart and they made 2024 a great year for so many people.
We are really excited for next year as we will be expanding! We have received an incredibly generous grant that will allow us to hire a new physician. We look forward to sharing some exciting news about this grant which we will announce in January!
We have one last ask of the year (we promise!) of you. Will you consider a year-end gift to Alliance Medical Ministry in this season of giving. Please support our community with a gift of health. Any gift you make will directly support our most vulnerable neighbors, who have serious medical problems and no health insurance or Medicaid to help them.
We promise you, it makes a difference in somebody's life. You can make a gift by clicking the button below.
We all hope that you and your family have a healthy and happy Holiday and New Year!
Sincerely,
Pete Tannenbaum, Kim McCall Whitley,
AMM Executive Director Director of Development

Chuck Neild volunteered at AMM from the Summer of 2022 through the Summer of 2024. Chuck volunteered as a Medical Assistant with Dr. Troiano, rooming patients, taking vital signs, clinic histories, and more. After getting his EMT certification, he volunteered at AMM to aid his career change from the US Army into the medical field. Chuck chose to volunteer to gain experience and to help a patient population in which he felt he could make a difference.
When asked what would he say to someone thinking of volunteering he responded saying, "I would say do it! Especially people in my shoes that are either doing career changes, young people looking to get into something around healthcare, or people that like making a small difference and helping out an organization that helps so many people access healthcare...I would just tell them to get involved if they're even remotely interested."
Today, Chuck is finishing his first year of Medical School at the University of Michigan. With his experience and education, he will make a difference in this world.

A Nourishing Our Neighbors grant, provided by the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation, is helping address food insecurity for local families. The grant also supports AMM by helping our neighbors increase their access to nutritious food and providing nutrition education to eliminate health risks for those experiencing food insecurity. Thank you so much to the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation!
