Dear Friend,
Why does a Medical Clinic talk so much about a farm, cooking, and wellness?
We do it because health is so connected to diet, exercise, and mindset – particularly at Alliance. AMM is located in a food desert – no healthy options – just fast food – and most of our patients reside in our zip code.
Our Registered Dietitian, Jaycee, and our Farmer, Lauren, work together to educate our patients and to provide them with healthier food choices. Lauren heads up our Farm and works with Jaycee and our chronically ill patients. Understanding how your diet impacts your chronic disease is a big deal.
Mandy is our Director of Nursing and is a Certified Diabetes Educator who works with patients individually and in groups to help patients understand how they can improve their health. This is part of what makes AMM so unique – a team approach to addressing our communities most pressing health issues.
Imagine a world where compassionate healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of income. At Alliance Medical Ministry, we strive to turn this vision into a reality every day, thanks to the loyal support from friends like you.
We invite you to deepen your impact by becoming a recurring donor. Join other supporters in providing consistent care that changes lives. Your monthly gift ensures that our neighbors have continuous access to medical services, which is more crucial now than ever.
Click here to set up a recurring donation today. Your ongoing support will provide healthcare sustainability for our neighbors in need.
Many of our supporters give stock, grant from Donor Advised funds, or make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, all of which are more “tax-smart” than giving cash. Click here for more information on these effective ways to give or contact me.
AMM patients count on your generous support. Together, we can build a healthier community. Thank you for allowing our patients to live healthier and happier lives!
Sincerely,
P.S. When you commit to a recurring donation, you become a part of AMM’s sustainable operation, allowing us to plan better and maximize our resources effectively. Thank you for considering this important form of support!

Thank you so much to all the volunteers who came to AMM for our 9/11 Day of Service! We had a great day filled with kit building and gardening.
Franklin Academy students and chaperones worked all morning picking produce and weeding the garden. They also helped build 100 flu kits for patients.
AMM also hosted an on-site kit build for volunteers and staff to have an opportunity to give back through dental, menstrual, and flu kits.
In total 367 kits were built on 9/11!

Starting this month, AMM is a healthcare partner of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. If a patient expresses that they are in need of food, AMM's staff can provide them with a box of non-perishable food. AMM is very excited about this new partnership and how it will provide additional patient aid!

In September, AMM held cooking and nutrition classes on Wednesday evenings called Food Smarts. Patients were invited to join AMM's Registered Dietician, Jaycee Reilly, in cooking a new recipe and learning about various topics such as creating a wholesome diet, understanding how to read food labels and the overall best practices for healthy living.

AMM is so thankful and excited that Scout Michaela chose AMM's garden for her Eagle Scout project! Michaela constructed new produce processing tables with sinks. These sinks will make rinsing and processing the fruits and vegetables for patients much easier.
