Dear Friend,
I am happy and a little self-conscious to forward this article that profiles me at AMM, below. I know it is a little self-serving (ok, very self-serving) but the important take away is the really important work that AMM does each and every day. Working at AMM is not for everybody, but it is totally the right thing for me. Most importantly, it is the right place for the people that work here – all of whom could be doing different things in the medical world. For me personally, I am amazed every day at the people I work with. They really are the most authentic, compassionate and empathetic group of people you could ever imagine.
I think of the early days of AMM and what inspired community leaders like Dr. Susan Weaver, Dr. Shery Joyner, Neil Morris, Jack Stone, Rick Marcotte, Dana Simpson, David Wilson and Sean Harrison (and many others) to want to help vulnerable populations. Their vision to create a charitable medical clinic for working poor is really quite amazing. They took their time and treasure to start this place and that speaks so well of them and of our community.
While we live in polarizing times, it is really nice to have an organization like AMM that is purely charitable that draws support and philanthropy from across our community and brings out the very best in all people.
Thank you for supporting AMM!
Sincerely,
Pete Tannenbaum, AMM Executive Director

A huge thank you to White Memorial Presbyterian Church's VBS class who assembled around 300 kits for our patients! These kits are a key part of our care for patients. They ensure that our patients are able to take care home with them.

A big thank you to RightCare for their help in the garden! We were able to plant squash and eggplant, collect seeds, and harvest 35 pounds of produce! We could not do the work we do without our dedicated volunteers.

We gave free plants to our patients this week! 🫑 We were able to give away tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapeños, as well as pots with soil so that our patients are able to grow some delicious veggies at their own home!

We welcome both groups and individuals in our garden! To provide ample opportunity for everyone to get involved, AMM's Garden will be open on the last Saturday of each month until October for individuals! If you would like to bring your group please, schedule that here! We look forward to seeing our garden grow this summer!
